Giveaway and ...a Confession

Spring has finally arrived here in NJ. Today we spent most of the day outside, playing, eating ice cream and getting some sun, which I really need. Cami started her swimming lessons today, we had so much fun at the pool. ( well my husband, I just watched them from the sitting area). And to celebrate Spring a little giveaway for you... This little book has tons of yummy recipes and ideas. To participate in the giveaway ,please leave a comment for my question. WHAT ARE YOU MOST AFRAID OF WHEN YOU BAKE? (I I hope this question make sense to you)I will randomly pick one winner from the comments left on this post. For multiple chances to win, simply mention this post (including a link to it) on your twitter page or facebook page.
I will be announcing the winner next Friday, March 26.

Good luck!

And this is what I am most afraid of...Buttercream cakes! I have no talent for them.

I have to agree with Party Box...forgetting an ingredient is at the top of my list of fears. I'm always doublechecking!

What am I most afraid of...
People not liking the taste. I am generally good at making delicious things, but I'm always afraid it will be too sweet, or have an ingredient left out that makes a confection taste... sour? lacking? It is not always possible to sample a cake... I just want everything to be perfect! Even though I am not.

Beautiful Work, like always! God Bless your hands. What type of frosting is the chocolate covered one?

The cupcake book looks very interesting.

Oh Kathia, I love your cakes!!!! I wish you lived closer, then you could teach me some tricks to how to make them look pretty! My biggest fear: That it won't taste good or that the icing will make it too sweet! I did make a carrot cake for a friend's birthday and I do have to admit, it was quite good! It was fun! But I ate too much of it :)

I'm most afraid of mixing up ingredients. Once before I used powder sugar instead of granulated sugar and it turned out a mess, lol.

Well I am most afraid of missing some ingredients. Once I made a chocolate cake and realized I forgot the sugar. So every time I make a batter I have to double check it.Also I am scared of making red buttercream, all the time it ends up bitter:(.

Mine biggest baking fear is brownies. No matter if from scratch or a box I either over or under bake them. I can NEVER cook them right. This book looks awesome. I am also linking you on my facebook page at: http://www.facebook.com/?ref=home#!/profile.php?id=1015165193

My biggest baking fear is something happening to my cakes while their my car being delivered. I always bring a repair kit, but I always worry about being hit to taking a huge bump and half the cake falling off. So far, I have had NO accidents (knock on wood!)

I agree with Domestic Sugar. I'm always afraid of baking new recipes that had diferent taste from usuals, because my family isn't quite fond of trying something new, not as me :-(

I'm terrified of piping on the side of cakes! I can pipe on cookies, but the angle of trying ot do it on the side of a cake is something I'm not sure I"ll ever master!

Not making enough icing. I hate when I run out and have to start a whole batch of icing all over again for just a little area.

Hola preciosa.

You made those beautiful cakes, and you're scared of buttercream!! *humph.
I'm scared of missing out on a step, or ingredient from the recipe, and having a d'oh moment!

My fear is homemade caramel. You have to heat it just so to make it turn out right. I've had success and failure with it, but man it's stressful! Thanks for the chance to win Kathia!!

My fear is sugar cookies! I just can not get them to roll out! I have no idea what I am doing wrong, and I've tried a few different recipes!! Decorated sugar cookies are so cute and I want so badly to make some!!!

I bake probably 4 times a week and i'm still scared of pie crust. I just feel like the results are always variable and that makes me nervous that I'll have to leave time to start over! I am also scared to use Crisco. It just seems weird, but I have no problem with butter!
