Giveaway and ...a Confession

Spring has finally arrived here in NJ. Today we spent most of the day outside, playing, eating ice cream and getting some sun, which I really need. Cami started her swimming lessons today, we had so much fun at the pool. ( well my husband, I just watched them from the sitting area). And to celebrate Spring a little giveaway for you... This little book has tons of yummy recipes and ideas. To participate in the giveaway ,please leave a comment for my question. WHAT ARE YOU MOST AFRAID OF WHEN YOU BAKE? (I I hope this question make sense to you)I will randomly pick one winner from the comments left on this post. For multiple chances to win, simply mention this post (including a link to it) on your twitter page or facebook page.
I will be announcing the winner next Friday, March 26.

Good luck!

And this is what I am most afraid of...Buttercream cakes! I have no talent for them.

  4. What am I most afraid of...
People not liking the taste. I am generally good at making delicious things, but I'm always afraid it will be too sweet, or have an ingredient left out that makes a confection taste... sour? lacking? It is not always possible to sample a cake... I just want everything to be perfect! Even though I am not.

  6. Oh Kathia, I love your cakes!!!! I wish you lived closer, then you could teach me some tricks to how to make them look pretty! My biggest fear: That it won't taste good or that the icing will make it too sweet! I did make a carrot cake for a friend's birthday and I do have to admit, it was quite good! It was fun! But I ate too much of it :)

  8. Well I am most afraid of missing some ingredients. Once I made a chocolate cake and realized I forgot the sugar. So every time I make a batter I have to double check it.Also I am scared of making red buttercream, all the time it ends up bitter:(.

  10. My biggest baking fear is something happening to my cakes while their my car being delivered. I always bring a repair kit, but I always worry about being hit to taking a huge bump and half the cake falling off. So far, I have had NO accidents (knock on wood!)

Pues a mí lo que más miedo me da es cuando acabo una tarta decorada que se me rompa alguna parte, el otro día puse unas estrellas en unos palitos de madera y al entregarla ohhhhhhhhhhhh, se habían caido dos....jajaja.

  22. I bake probably 4 times a week and i'm still scared of pie crust. I just feel like the results are always variable and that makes me nervous that I'll have to leave time to start over! I am also scared to use Crisco. It just seems weird, but I have no problem with butter!
