The weekend is around the corner and I have more eye candy for you. Certainly this week has been full of sweets. Do you know what are you making for Halloween?

This is Pam...

Hi everyone!!
My name is Pam, and I own a little bake shop waaaaaaaaay up in Canada called cake-ology. I've been doing cakes for a couple of years and just this last spring we made the jump and opened up shop.
What a crazy year!
I was really honored when Kathia asked to guest blog on her 28 days of Halloween feature, how cool is that?! Of course I had to say yes, I'm really excited to be a part of it. I have some pictures to share of cakes, treats and ideas for Halloween.
I have always thought it would be so fun to host a wedding over Halloween. Get all your guests to dress up, and haunt up an old hotel banquet room. Or if you're somewhere warm (not like way up here in Winnipeg :) you could host it in an old barn, full of haunted goodness.

We've done some fun things for Halloween in the past, but my favorite was our Día de los Muertos wedding last year.

We made up two custom sugar skulls and used them as a wedding topper on a simple yet beautiful wedding cake.

Their room was gorgeous too, all done in blacks and purples, crows and peacock feathers adorned the tables. Lovely. I remember the bride insisting "absolutely NO orange please." Can't blame her.

We recently did another cake for a wedding that would make for a nice Halloween inspired cake. All white with some simple black swirls with some pretty little flowers.
The classic little fondant cupcake toppers are super popular, something we love to make because they are both cute and easy for us to do in big quantities. I have found tutorials and how-to's all over the net for these little guys.
And last but not least is our dragon cake. Based on the Paper Bag Princess dragon, we made this for a good friend of ours' son. Since posting it on the blog, we've remade it five times now!
Super popular with the ten year old boy scene :)
Thanks for looking!
If you stop by the blog, or ever come by the shop make sure you say hi!

Spooky music, smoke machines...you know, the typical wedding stuff...
I have also thought it would be cool to host a masquerade ball. Gigantic frilly dresses, feasts of food and at some point in the evening the lights of course would have to go out.
