Do you like tulips? I do, I love their colors and the way the flower blooms.
I buy tulips every Easter, we have a good friend that we visit every Easter and is like a tradition that we bring tulips every time we come over.
As far as plants/flowers go, that is as much as I can handle,
I have mentioned before that plants do not like me.
Any way, inspired by colorful tulips I made these cookies for my good friends at
To make this cookies you will need the following:
Large tulip cookie cutter
Small rolling pin
Modeling tool
Rolling mat
Orange and brown royal icing
Orange and green fondant
Small brush and corn syrup
Cookie Sticks
Small pieces of paper towel
Pastry bags, tip #2 and couplers
Making cookie pops is easier than you think. Here is a little pictorial, if you want full instructions ,
Outline and flood your cookies.
While the icing is still wet, make 3 brown lines and run a toothpick through it
Let the cookies dry overnight
Brush the sides of your cookies with a little corn syrup
Place a few pieces of paper towel on top of the cookie
Roll the fondant as thin as you can and cut the tulip shape using the cookie cutter
Attach the fondant tulip to the cookie, move the petals a little bit using your fingers to give them a little movement.
Use the modeling tool to mark details on the petals, if you do not have a modeling tool use a toothpick, that works well too.
A made a few extra petals to create this one.
Follow same steps to make the leaves
I put my cookie pops in a mason jar fill with chocolate cake and chocolate frosting
HAPPY EASTER FOR YOU AND YOUR LOVE ONES!!!
I love the way the petals look!
