Buttercream Ruffle Cookie Pops

I am sure you all have seen those adorable ruffle cakes popping out everywhere, they are adorable!
Well, I thought that cookies deserve to be beautify by some ruffles too.
The ruffle design not only is beautiful but also very easy to make.

To make these cookies you will need:

coupler
Turntable (optional) or round cake board
wooden skewer
White buttercream ( store bought or make your own)
disposable decorating bag
petal tip #103
Americolor electric pink
Americolor electric yellow

Linzer Flower Cookie Cutter 4.5'

Make and bake your cookie pops.  how to make cookie pops see this post

Pipe the Buttercream on the cookie

-Get your piping bag ready with the coupler and petal tip
-Hold down the bag with one hand, take the skewer and dip it inside the bottle of color gel, using the skewer make a line of color inside the bag.
- Make sure the line is in direction with the narrow end of the petal tip.
-Fill the bag with buttercream.

Squeeze some of the icing out of the bag to make sure there is no air trapped inside of it. You might want to get a "feel" of  the bag and tip and do a few practice squeezes onto a paper towel or plastic plate to work out how you like the ruffles.

Point the narrow end of the tip up and squeeze gently the buttercream moving your hand in an up and down motion.

Start from the outside of the cookie and work your way in. Use the turntable or the round cake board to turn the cookie around. Keep piping the ruffles until the whole cookie is filled with buttercream.

Use a bigger tip, add more colors to the frosting and play with designs.  I am sure you will have a lot of fun !

Have a safe and nice weekend everyone! and thank you for stopping by.
