Making Lots Of Sweets

The weekend is around the corner...ta ta tannnnnnnnn. I am so happy to share with you guys that on Saturday I have my first class at The Institute Of Culinary Education in New York City. I am dreaming, I am still pinching myself, is it true? I will be taking summer classes and also some classes in the fall. The first course will be all about pastry ,baking, baking and more baking. We, I mean me, will be making lots of sweet delicious desserts. I am really excited , it will be challenging for me figuring out my schedule and the baby, but with some help from a couple of friends and my husband I am going to make it work. In the mean time, here are some pictures of what I do when I don't have anything else to do ( cleaning can wait, sleeping? who sleeps these days?). This is a busy month, my baby's birthday is coming up and I am already planning her birthday parties, yes parties because I will be making 2, at school and also at my house. Just to give you a little background...when I was a child I never had a birthday party, I never had gifts and I don't remember anybody singing the Happy Birthday song to me, therefore, I want my daughter to have the best memories of her childhood. So, lots and lots of parties!!

Thank you for taking the time and reading my blog.
Love, Kathia

Oh sadness... so sorry about your childhood birthdays. They weren't a big deal in my family either. I'm sure your little one will have a fabulous birthday! Adorable little cakes - the butterfly/ribbon rose cupcake is my favorite!

I am so glad you are making up for it with your baby girl! I hope you have wonderful Birthdays as an adult now.

I am really excited for you that you get to go to culinary school!! Someday maybe I'll get to go too.

Oh yeah, and the 100th post is up. :)
