Let's Make This Last Week The Best Week Of The Year!

Hi everyone, I hope you all had a great weekend and a wonderful Christmas Holiday. I hope these last few days you had the opportunity to relax with friends and family. Around here I have been pretty busy, Camilla and I have been home with a bad cold.I didn't work last week and we stayed home pretty much taking medicines and drinking soup. Some how I was able to find time to bake some desserts, cupcakes and a birthday cake ( all germ free, they were made before my cold.) Here are some pics for you to enjoy.

This birthday cake was requested using the colors of the Mexican flag, green, white and red. The cake is vanilla with whipped cream and fresh strawberries. These cupcakes were so yummy. Chocolate cupcakes with peanut butter frosting. I made the toppers really quick using small cookie cutters and red fondant. I added some details with royal icing and some sprinkles.

My first adventure making a small Ginger bread house... or houses I should say. I got this Wilton Kit at Michael's and when I opened I found these little tiny houses, big mistake! they were too little. Next time I will get a big house, at least I had fun with the candy.

Walnut Brownies

Mini Creamy Lemon Tarts

As I enter the last week of 2009, I am reminded of all the great accomplishments I have had over the last year. I faced truly daunting challenges and I faced each and everyone head on.
To you my friends
Let us spend that last few days of the year thinking back on all of our accomplishments, thinking back on all the things we need to work on, thinking back on all the people we had the wonderful opportunity to meet and hopefully make a positive difference in their lives.
Let's make a commitment to success on all areas of our life, let us make a commitment to be a better spouse, parent, friend and baker, why not?
I do certainly need to make a commitment to be more patient and understanding.

I wish you a wonderful and Happy New Year!
Kathia

Everything looks so wonderful Kathia. I know you have been busy learning, and I can't wait to see what you'll be doing this year.

I am also really really excited for you to take photography lessons! If you ever have questions I'll try to help as you go along.
