Recipe for Love Cookie

Disclosure: Excuse the picture quality, as they are the result of working very late at night.

With leftover cookie dough I put together this big "recipe card" cookie. I Google the recipe online, and  pretty much is what we try to "cook" in our house as often as we can. The patience part is kind of hard to incorporate in the recipe when I try to get my husband up for the 3 am feeding of baby E.

This is a big cookie, you will need the following to make it:

.Cookie dough
.Rectangular shape template ( I made it using card stock)
.Small heart shape cookie cutter
.Knife to cut the cookie
.Black food marker
.Squeeze bottle
.Tip #2
.Red, white and black royal icing ( stiff and thin for flooding)

Instructions:

1-Cut and bake your cookie

2-Outline with red icing
3-Outline and flood small hearts
4-Flood your cookie with white icing and add black polka dots with a squeeze bottle
5-Let the cookie dry overnight

6-When the cookie is completely dry, write the "recipe" ( or whatever you want) with the black food marker.
7-Attach small hearts with royal icing

8-Enjoy your cookie!

Have a great week everyone.

Oh Kathia - these are FABULOUS!!! Such a great cookie idea :). I'm pinning them!!

Thanks for visiting my latest post - to answer you question, you can find cheese cloth in most kitchen stores, some discount stores (like Walmart), and sometimes even in hardware stores (look in the utensil section or the canning/preserving section).

You could also use paper towels or coffee filters (I get giant ones from my local fast food restaurant).
