Baby Girl (butt) Baby Shower Cake

Well, I jumped on the wagon of  the blogger burned out syndrome !!! Trying to get my motivation back to show you all the cute cakes and cookies I have made in the past month.

Any way, this cute cake was for one of my little girl's former daycare teacher. She is having a little girl and wanted to have a baby girl butt cake so bad...LOL so dream come true, here it is.

What a simple cake to make, the butt is actually made of rice crispy treats, but easily can be made out of cake. Then I added lots of ruffles to  form the dress.
The feet and legs were made using modeling chocolate.

Ivory Color Baby Shower Cake

wow!! January already!!
Happy New Year everyone!

Well is about time that I start posting some eye candy for you to see. Lots of cakes and cookies have come and gone the past few weeks.

I created this Baby Shower cake for a regular client of mine, her daughter is having a baby soon and they didn't want to find out the sex of the baby. They were having a Vintage style Baby Shower so different shades of ivory were the color they choose for the cake.

Starting from the top sits a baby carriage cake topper. A little challenging to make but I definitely was thrilled with the results.

Both cake tiers were covered in light ivory color fondant and I used a darker shade of ivory to add details and texture to the cake.

Have a great week and thanks for stopping by!!

Carnival Theme Baby Shower Cake

Well, another of my bright, busy and colorful cakes!!!

and since I am feeling so festive today I thought this Carnival theme Baby Shower cake was the appropriate cake to post .  I made the Carnival Theme cake for a regular client of mine, I have been making cakes for her for a few years now. She was having one of the biggest baby shower I have ever seeing and wanted everything over the top.

She always let the cake design up to me, and I love that because I have freedom to do anything I want, and I always add a little extra.

I used real pop corn and made sugar cake toppers like pretzel, corn dog, lollipops, fair tickets and a fair banner.
I have never seen a sea lion on a fair, but I had this one already made and I thought it would look great on top of the cake.

I also made this other little cake for her as my Baby Shower gift.

Have a great weekend and thank you for stopping by.

Spring Baby Shower Cake

It was such a joy to make this Baby Shower Cake in the middle of this insane cold Winter.
The soft pink, the flowers and little sugar birds and bunny made me remember that we are
20 days away from Spring.

The bassinet is made out of rice krispy treats, the baby, tiny birds and bunny were made with gumpaste.

This is the baby shower invitation

I air brushed the bunny with brown color to give him a little more of dimension, hard to tell in this picture, but the cake had such a nice shimmer because I air brushed it with pearl color.
The ribbon roses are so easy to make, here is a tutorial I made so you can make them yourself.

Have a great weekend, and thank you for stopping by.
